As campus reps, we represents Harvey Mudd (California), Cornell (New York), Rice University (Texas), Dartmouth College (New Hampshire), and Vanderbilt (Tennessee). Now, let me tell you, that leaves some diverse conversations!! With each of us bringing unique campus opinions, environments, and general educational differences, our conversations sparked new ideas and a new appreciation for what we have in common as Reasoning Mind Campus Reps: a love for education and agreed vision for education reform starting with MATH education. As we enjoyed our coffee, fellowship, and note-taking, we were allowed to pound out questions to Analyst Alex Randall and Talent Development Associate Jaclyn Youngblood. They did say the job can be demanding, but that was only a small part of the discussion. The majority of both their viewpoints of Reasoning Mind is that their office and job allows them to enjoy spending 8 hours a day at the office or doing outreach at various locations. They love the work they do--they are about helping kids, and they love the environment and their fellow employees. As I took the tour of the Houston office, a good example of how much the employees appreciate Reasoning Mind and all its employees was written on one of their "chalk walls"--I know, cool, right? Check out what the Knowledge Engineer was thankful for as Thanksgiving approached...
The second picture is of Jaclyn, John (Campus Rep Rice), Madeline (CR Cornell), Alex Randall (Analyst/Talent Development), and Ellie (CR Harvey Mudd). What a great time we had getting coffee #local, discussing Reasoning Mind, sharing ideas, and reminiscing our wonderful Campus Rep Summit 2012.
